In antiquity, the conch shell was regarded by many early cultures as a symbolic mouthpiece of the gods. “Perhaps it was because, when held to the ear, the voice of the sea god murmured through it.

We are proud to present a striking and super rare, natural, pink, conch pearl and diamond platinum ring from Edwardian era.

Conch pearls, especially the pink one, are one of the rarest gift of nature, created in the shell of the Queen or Pink  conch mollusc found in the depth of the Carribean sea, jewelers of Edwardian and Deco era prized them as their delicate colour perfectly suited the aesthetic of the time.

Centering is a natural conch pearl measuring approx 10 mm x 6.8 mm glowing with the most romantic vivid pink, and “porcelaneous” lustre showing its extraordinary property called flame, an amazing display on the surface of the gem that makes it look like a fire burning on the surface.

On sides curves of platinum embrace ten old European cut diamonds (five for each side) totaling approx .88 Ct of pure sparkle and light beautifully complementing the Queen of the sea.

Exquisite geometric openwork under gallery, with attention to every detail and a smooth shank for comfortable wear.

Artfully crafted by a master goldsmith during Edwardian era in platinum, marked.

Very good overall condition commensurate to use and age.
