Reaction to industrialization and mechanized society of the late 19th century Arts and Crafts movement preferred the handcrafted easthetic, natural materials and individual versus group model.
Femininity and radiance so desired during this era perfectly manifests itself in this Arts and Crafts natural sapphire and pearl necklace.
With a rhythm of curving lines, the main element comes alive with organic shapes and surface texture. Open work conveys movement and delicacy with nature elements and natural gemstones.
Four vivid blue natural sapphires totaling approx .46 Ct beautifully contrasted by shippering iridescent natural pearls.
The flower top of sapphire and pearls and the natural pearl drop connect the energy of the pendant with organic components of nature.
Curvilinear shapes and contours of rhythmic content strive to create languid and dynamic sides of nature using a flower and leaf motif culminating with a unique handcrafted chain of glorious design.
Artfully handcrafted in 15 Kt yellow gold by a master goldsmith CF during Arts and Crafts period.
Very good overall condition commensurate to use and age.
