A Victorian woman’s basic jewelry consisted of many elements, chains, brooches, rings were often dainty, some ladies would wear one for each finger, bangles and earrings. From small single drops to hinged hoops, were often lightweight.
Refined and flattering, these earrings glow with two pink topaz gemstones foiled and closed back on wire hook, they are the perfect length to go fab to tailored.
Set with two antique, hand cut, oval faceted cut pink topaz, each foiled and closed back, with flat back typical of later years of Georgian era to early years of Victorian era, of a total estimated weight of 1.43 Ct glowing with a vibrant and dramatic pink hue.
The two sophisticated beauties glow with romance, both foiled with a coloured foil, one has a more purplish hue than the other. Foiling was an antique method of enhancing gemstones, with a silver foil for diamonds and a coloured one to intensify coloured gemstones and give them that magical depth.
Artfully crafted in 14 Kt yellow gold, tested and marked with assay on hook.
Very good overall condition commensurate to use and age.
